tuesdays & weekends: gotta love ‘em
Tuesday, April 5, 2011Justin Bieber’s concert, incidentally, is on the 10th of May - my birthday.
Ok, that first line was meant to confuse you.
You see, on the 10th of May, husby and I are actually going to this concert:
Husby hates Bieber with a fervor. But now we both acknowledge that it’s not entirely his fault tweens the world over weep at his feet and contract Bieber fever… But whatever, we’d never be caught in a Bieber concert if he was the last act on earth. No offense, kid.
And, at the end of this month we also intend to be here:
Mainly because I missed their 2007 show here. I remember then when I was at the office, I only learned of their concert one day before the event. (Or was it the same day of the gig?) Very regrettable. But even if I could go, I didn’t have anyone to go with! When I was single (yeah, that was a boring phase in my life), I could manage to catch a movie at the theatres by myself (without thinking myself a loser), but even then I knew going to a concert alone is a no-no.
Husby is not a fan, as I’m not a big fan of Mr. Big. He has downloaded their albums to bring me up to speed. So far so good. I can totally dig their vibe. I’m sure husby can become a fan of SF after the rock-out.
We were at the Cubao area last weekend. We passed by Araneta and checked out the posters for upcoming events, I urged him we MUST go see that Mr. Big concert. After all, when I knew very little of the band, they were his favorite artist on our videoke sessions.
Later on, we learned of SF’s concert (the show happens one week before Mr Big’s). Then the planning began. It’s such a good feeling when you amicably reach a compromise. (Not that we’re normally reaching them in a violent manner, though).
And could things get any better? 2nd of May is a holiday for me, so if I lose my voice on the 30th I can still have 2 days to recover. Yeah.
I love (the right kind of) music.
I love (great) films.
I love my husby.

It has occurred to me I keep ending my posts with that.
If it annoys you, go somewhere else.
If it makes you envious, hang in there. There are still amazing people out there for you.
If you don’t really care much, well and good. Please disregard this rant.

Peace out.
